Job Summary

The Corporate Communications Intern at e.l.f. Beauty will play a vital role in supporting the communications team in executing strategic initiatives to enhance brand visibility and reputation. This dynamic role offers hands-on experience in drafting communications materials, monitoring media coverage, and assisting with projects and events. The intern will aid in internal and external messaging through various platforms such as LinkedIn and Slack. The ideal candidate is a motivated and detail-oriented individual with strong communication skills and a passion for the beauty industry.

Responsibilities

  • Track media coverage and sentiment surrounding e.l.f. Beauty, providing regular updates to the communications team
  • Conduct Share of Voice (SOV) analysis to assess e.l.f. Beauty’s visibility compared to competitors
  • Provide administrative support to the communications team, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and organizing files
  • Maintain an inventory of communication assets, such as press releases, images, and videos, ensuring accessibility and organization
  • Analyze performance metrics on LinkedIn, providing insights to optimize content and engagement strategies
  • Facilitate seamless integration and collaboration across all teams, fostering a supportive and cohesive work environment
  • Track communication assets and materials used in Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with campaign objectives
  • Conduct research on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging communication platforms, providing insights to support decision-making
  • Help track relevant industry awards and speaking opportunities across the organization
  • Support the coordination of corporate events, including press conferences, product launches, and industry conferences

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled or recently graduated with a degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Demonstrated interest in the beauty industry and a passion for e.l.f. Beauty’s mission and values
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and social media platforms
  • Familiarity with media monitoring tools and analytics platforms is preferred
  • Experience in graphic design or social asset creation is a plus
  • Prior internship or coursework experience in communications, public relations, or marketing is a plus
  • Tuesdays and Thursdays working in-person in the NY office
