At MediaCo Holding Inc., we’re changing the way people think about enterprise Media and Digital Technology with our iconic and innovative radio brands HOT97 and WBLS. In addition, our outdoor billboard advertising division, Fairway Outdoor, has long been a staple in out-of-home advertising since 1935. We are a fast-growing company with a fun atmosphere and lots of opportunity. 

We are currently seeking college Interns to work in our Radio Division for this Summer.  These will be paid internships, with remote and on-site opportunities.  Selected Interns will work a part-time schedule and assignments will start June 1st and will extend through mid-August.  It is a great chance to gain hands-on experience and see the radio industry up close and personal.

The internship program is a paid $15 an hour opportunity for undergraduate students, seeking academic credits for the summer (also offer year-round opportunities – fall/spring/summer) semester, to gain excellent hands-on job experience in the radio broadcasting industry.

Who is eligible to participate?

The internship program is for undergraduate students (Sophomore, Junior, or Senior) who maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 as well as complete the required course prerequisites, based upon the college/universities criteria (if applicable). Students will be expected to provide transcripts issued by their college or university’s Registrar’s Office upon request, as mentioned below.

What will be expected of the intern?

Upon acceptance, all interns are anticipated to participate in the program for the duration of one semester (approximately 8-10 weeks) with a minimum of 15-20 hours per week. The MediaCo. internship program takes place during regular business hours, M-F, 9a-5:30p (minus 1-hour for lunch), unless otherwise agreed upon by student and supervisor(s). A schedule will be provided to all students based on their availability and the availability of department managers and/or on-site project supervisors.

Students must complete an internship agreement form that encapsulates the expectations of the intern, the student’s college program instructor (if applicable), as well as MediaCo. Inc.


Students will be required to complete weekly student time/activity reports, progress reports, and a final student report describing their performance during their internship period. All reports are confidential and will be placed in the student’s file. The information from these reports will assist MediaCo. Inc in making our internship program a successful one.
