Summary

The NFL Media and Business Communications Team is seeking a dynamic and innovative publicist to support the NFL’s International communications efforts, as well as the U.S. Latino market.  This position requires cross-departmental collaborations with a heavy emphasis on working with the international and Latino marketing departments. 

Responsibilities

  • Pitch international storylines to broaden awareness of the NFL’s international business, working closely with the NFL’s international offices and foreign media. 
  • Build, strengthen and maintain relationships with international press. 
  • Pitch storylines of interest to the U.S. Latino community and conduct outreach designed to yield increased consumption of NFL content. 
  • Build, strengthen and maintain relationships with Spanish-language press, as well as media that reach bilingual/bicultural English-dominant Latinos. 
  • Work with Spanish-language NFL broadcast partners to integrate messaging tied to League priorities across linear, digital, and social channels.  
  • Support the development of press releases, talking points, quotes, and briefing materials. 
  • Monitor media for coverage and develop recaps. 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications or related field.
  •  2+ years of publicity experience.
  • Bi-lingual in English and Spanish highly desired

Other Key Attributes / Characteristics

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Experience proactively placing stories.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and communicate effectively in a 24/7 international work environment. 
  • Attention to detail.

Terms / Expected Hours of Work

  • NFL employees are required to work 40 hours per week
  • FLSA non-exempt

All compensation, benefits, and other terms and conditions of employment are handled by the agency. The assignment to provide services to the NFL will be limited in duration but may be extended for an additional period by agreement between the NFL and the agency.
