POSITION TITLE:   Account Coordinator

DEPARTMENT/SUPERVISOR: Client Services or Editorial

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY: A SPI Group account coordinator works closely with senior staff to provide day-to-day account coordination for multiple client projects, ranging from editorial activities to website development.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES:

  1. Project Coordination
    • With guidance from senior staff:
      • Coordinate day-to-day tasks for multiple projects, such as scheduling project meetings, developing meeting and project status reports, responding to client requests
      • Maintain editorial and production calendars for multiple projects
      • Publish content on client websites (using a content management system)
      • Assist account teams in creating, presenting and managing project timelines, communications plans, presentations, web metrics, and other communications project materials
    • Perform testing and QA for website projects and web audits, as needed
    • Work collaboratively across the agency team and with other stakeholders
    • Participate in client meetings with internal team to better understand client needs and how they impact day-to-day account coordination
  2. Communications Expertise
    • Assist editorial team, from writing solid, first drafts of articles to light copywriting and proofing

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Communications or Public Relations
  • Three months to 2 years of relevant experience in communications or related field (internships count!)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic familiarity with digital communications, including social media and basic web publishing tools/content management systems (such as WordPress)
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and develop collaborative relationships with colleagues across the agency; willingness to work with colleagues at all levels
  • Ability to prioritize work appropriately and meet assigned deadlines; good organizational and analytical skills (including attention to detail)
  • Good problem-solving skills; ability to identify effective solutions.
  • Efficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Must be eligible to work for any employer in the United States.
