Internship Description:

Green Room Communications is looking for driven, passionate and detail-oriented candidates who are interested in developing creative media and account communications. Green Room’s program provides interns with first-hand experience working as part of a healthcare agency communications team. Interns will support Green Room’s media, account, creative and digital teams and learn strategy and tactics from start to finish.

About Our Internship Program:

The duration of the internship program is a minimum of 3 months, with a potential opportunity for extension

Paid position; paid hourly at a set rate

Interns may be able to receive course credit as determined by their university/college

The internship requires approximately 10-15 hours per week (flexible hours are available to align with school and other work schedules)

Interns will work onsite in the Boonton, NJ office

Credentials and Experience:

College student currently studying communications/PR/marketing or a related field (course experience or previous internship experience preferred)

Interest and/or experience in healthcare and pharmaceuticals

Embodies Green Room’s five core values: independent – self-starters, authentic, client-first mentality, can-do spirit and grit

Roles and Responsibilities:

Develop internal, monthly newsletters for Green Room

Draft daily industry trend reports and circulate internally

Assist with content development for Green Room’s external blog

Draft content for Green Room’s social channels including, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn

Work directly with the Digital team and account leaders to develop social media strategies to help elevate Green Room’s capabilities as well as our clients’ brands

Participate in internal brainstorms

Become proficient in public relations and media software including Vocus/Cision, Factiva and Critical Mention

Assist with client-related research

Design and develop informational, media and promotional materials such as press releases, media alerts, pitch letters, brochures, overviews, bios and fact sheets

Develop media lists and pitch media contacts under the direction of the supervisor

Spearhead the compilation of media coverage and wrap-up reports

Assist with monitoring client competition coverage

Provide Green Room account team with organizational and administrative support, including the development communications recommendations, presentations, corporate event planning, new business plans and more

Coordinate the development of graphic materials with Green Room’s Creative team
