We have an immediate opening for an Account Executive with NJF, an MMGY Global company in our New York City location.

NJF is the Public Relations, Social Experiential Marketing practice of MMGY Global.  The firm’s integrated approach is rooted in a long-standing history of building relationships, uncovering emerging trends and developing creative solutions to tell client stories. NJF connects its clients with key stakeholder – media, consumers and influencers – to elevate brand image and reputation and generate media results.  NJF has staff, in New York City, Orlando and Los Angeles.

The Account Executive (AE) is responsible for implementing comprehensive PR campaigns for a variety of assigned accounts with an increased emphasis on both media and client relations.

DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES, TASKS (include but not limited to):

  • Assist in development, planning and implementation of client programs
  • Create timelines, action plans, and media strategies
  • Independently draft/edit media pitches, press releases, editorial copy and social media posts
  • Assist with day-to-day client communication
  • Develop targeted media lists
  • Pro-active, strategic media outreach to generate client results
  • Facilitate press release distribution
  • Secure press trip and media event attendees
  • Facilitate press trips and media tours (travel may be required)
  • Coordination of local media events
  • Deepen agency relationships with influential media
  • Consistently monitor relevant media, columns, and outlets
  • Research marketing partnerships and support program development


  • Strong detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent writing skills, both technical and creative
  • Understanding of travel, lifestyle, F&B, and trade media
  • Good base of media contacts
  • Demonstrable media pitching skills
  • Solid understanding of social media and how to utilize it
  • Computer proficiency and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google programs, and office equipment
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively


  • Minimum of two years of public relations agency experience preferred; minimum of two years in-house in a communications role
  • Travel industry experience or knowledge a plus
  • Bilingual Spanish/English written and oral skills a plus


Minimum of an undergraduate degree (Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts) in communications, journalism or related field
