Assistant Account Executive

Responsibilities

  • Developing a sufficient understanding of the larger Medical Affairs programs that enables contribution of ideas and deliverables for the client business
  • Take an active role in supporting and implementing aspects of the clients’ Medical Affairs plan on a day to day basis
  • Draft discussion guides, agendas and other relevant materials for client’s medical expert engagement activities
  • Assist in event and client meeting preparation and planning
  • Assist in the drafting of scientific manuscripts and prepare manuscripts for submission
  • Conduct extensive scientific literature searches and formulate recommendations and opinions based on information gleaned from research
  • Conduct preliminary research, preparation and idea generation for new business presentations
  • Demonstrate responsibility for quality control on all reports and documents, whether for clients or internal use – this includes emails, PowerPoint presentations, excel grids etc.
  • Be creative in finding alternate solutions to assignments, challenges or obstacles
  • Be efficient with your time and ensure that deadlines are understood and met or communicate to your managers if/when you are experiencing delay

Skills and Requirements

  • Exceptional communications, problem solving, analytical, budget management and business skills
  • BA or BS in Biology or science related field
  • Experience in a research setting (laboratory or clinical) preferred

Account Executive – PR, Healthcare/Pharmaceutical

We are looking for an Account Executive to join our exciting and growing team! At Medical Dynamics, the Account Executive role is a core role on all of our programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate an understanding of the larger PR programs and take an active role in supporting and implementing aspects of the clients’ PR plan on a day to day basis
  • Develop a media relations skill set that includes the ability to develop concise and impactful pitch letters, ability to pitch story ideas via phone and to identify new opportunities for coverage for your clients via editorial calendars, media monitoring, reading newspapers/magazines/online news sites
  • Draft news releases, media alerts, backgrounders and other media materials
  • Assist in event and client meeting preparation and planning
  • Manage media coverage reports and ensure they are kept up to date on a daily or weekly basis. Maintain a database of pending coverage and proactively monitor the news media and online universe for pending stories that we have placed or that relate to our client’s business that should be brought to their attention in a timely manner

Requirements

  • Must have BA or BS in Public Relations, Communications or related field
  • Requires at least 1-2 years’ experience in a healthcare public relations environment-  agency or corporate
  • Ability to tie marketing initiatives back to business objectives
  • Demonstrates ideas in an organized manner at all times/works well under pressure
  • Ability to pay close to detail as well as able to work in a fast paced environment
  • Strives for consistency and accuracy at all deliverables
  • Exceptional problem solving, analytical, budget management and business skills
  • Ability to develop strong/lasting professional relationships with clients/prospective clients
  • Help build relationships with media contacts to grow our client’s presence in the media
  • Displays excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Well balanced individual who demonstrates an entrepreneurial spirit & values integrity/creativity.
