HIRING!  PR and Digital Coordinator Guinness World Records

Support PR Manager and PR agency to implement global PR campaign across all business areas and products
Maintain and keep press office organized. Support Online Editorial and Social Media teams to implement web and social strategy

Job Requirements

Public Relations:

  • Support PR Manager to implement North American PR campaign for the Gamers and Annual Book editions as well as year round brand support
  • Serve as press officer – responding to reporters’ enquiries; developing relationships; maintaining a growing media contact list and general organization of press office
  • Assist in generating press releases, internal PR reports and PR plans
  • Help manage GWR talent utilized for PR (travel coordination, itineraries, welcome packets, etc.)
  • Provide support to PR agency – coordinating GWR TV/media appearances, answering queries, supplying photography, attending meetings, monitoring coverage, etc.
  • Image licensing – liaise with media outlets looking to pay for image usage
  • Provide administrative support to PR team (filing, faxing, mailings, invoice processing, etc.)

Digital:

  • Responsible for writing and editing content for use on GWR website and social platforms (specifically Twitter and Facebook) with basic knowledge of SEO techniques.
  • Posting of content on guinnessworldrecords.com, using the company’s CMS (Tridion).
  • Assist in management of Social Media platforms including Facebook page(s), YouTube page(s), but with an emphasis on Twitter account(s)

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree required
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 2 years media related administrative experience  (internships COUNT!)
  • Strong communication abilities needed for effective daily correspondence with reporters
  • Excellent writing skills, with previous journalistic experience writing online news and features to a brief and deadlines
  • Search Engine Optimization (SEO) knowledge
  • Experience using Photoshop and content management systems
  • Keen daily user and knowledgeable of social media services including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications-Outlook/Excel/PowerPoint/Word
  • Has a service minded mentality and a “roll their sleeves up” type of attitude; will pitch in for all facets of company
  • Ability to prioritize tasks successfully
  • Strong organization skills needed
  • Working knowledge of online database applications
  • Ability to work cross functionally with other Departments
