Description
Working in our Global Education business as an Editorial Assistant, you will support editors in our business and accounting group with the acquisition of manuscripts and other educational content. You will interact verbally and in writing with authors, professors, advisors, production, marketing and sales and learn the publishing process from manuscript through bound book. For this position, we are seeking candidates who would like to learn about the publishing process and are looking to begin at entry level. We do not “write” or “edit” but are charged with bringing good products to market that will do well in the educational arena.

Requirements:
 Must have excellent organizational and project management skills; ability to work independently
 Ability to learn quickly and juggle many tasks simultaneously
 Excellent written/verbal communication skills
 Good computer skills using basic Microsoft Office functionality, specifically Excel and ability to understand company systems
 Strong internet research skills
 Must have a general understanding of posting and creating content suitable for WordPress and other social media platforms
 Must have an interest in engaging and talking with students
 Must have an interest in college textbook and software publishing
 Previous office experience in a fast paced environment preferred
 An interest in educational publishing
 College degree
