Job Requirements or Qualifications:
Personable, results-oriented multi-tasker should have agency experience and be skilled in strategic, integrated communications. Must be knowledgeable and interested in news and events on a local, regional and national level. Candidate should have strong writing and media relations.
Ability to work in a team environment, yet, must also be proactive and work independently.
Exhibits high-energy for business-to-business PR/marketing clients and enthusiasm for work and projects.
Ability to maintain strong client relationships and recommend strategies to achieve client goals.
Takes pride in work and day-to-day accomplishments.
Ability to write compelling communications materials such as press releases, blogs, bylined articles, newsletters (print and online), video/broadcast scripts and client proposals.
Keeps up with latest trends in our industry and learns and implements as necessary.
Understands, uses, develops and implements integrated PR and social media marketing campaigns, project work plans, campaign tracking and reporting.
Must be able to research, plan, coordinate and implement client programs/activities in a timely, efficient and high-quality manner, ensuring that all programs are strategically on target with clients’ business objectives.
Maintain day-to-day contact with clients/account team and report program results to agency management in regular written reports.
Plan and manage PR campaigns in a hands-on fashion, from original concept to editorial/copy writing to results.
Continually build understanding and knowledge of clients’ businesses and competitive environments and apply this information to preparing and presenting strategically focused programs and recommendations.
Any combination of education and experience providing the required skills and knowledge for successful performance would qualify.
Ideal candidate should have:
-Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism, English, marketing or a related field.
-Six or more years experience in communications, public relations or marketing.
-Proficiency in social media platforms (twitter, facebook, linkedin, google+, etc.)
-Be proficient in all MS Office programs, including Excel.
Any of the following industry experience is helpful but not required: Utilities/Energy Crisis Communications Health Care Financial Consumer Products & Services
