Cartoon Network PR Internship NYC PAID Summer

Qualifications: Completing a junior year in college or recent college graduate with a degree in Public Relations, Journalism or Mass Communications. Students should have a strong academic record (3.0 strongly preferred) and present a resume for consideration.
Must be self motivated, very detailed oriented and a great communicator. Candidate should be a self starter with high energy and the ability to multi task.

Duties: Support the Cartoon Network New York Public Relations team in the following publicity efforts:
–   Assist in writing, editing, and distributing a wide variety of PR materials, including press releases, media alerts and pitch letters
– Does research for projects assigned
-Participate in brainstorms
– Uses social media skills to develop reports from traditional, online and social networking sites.
-Update press lists
– Arrange talent travel
– Coordinate mailings
-Maintain press library
– Manage event RSVPs

**Intern will have the opportunity to accompany publicist on photo shoots, press junkets, on-set press visits, screenings, and other event work as it arises.

Please Note: Students @ Work Internships Program dates are June 2nd – August 8th. Interns are paid at minimum-wage and relocation is not provided. Students must have completed their sophomore year in college prior to the start of the internship. In addition, students may not have graduated college or graduate school prior to the start of the internship (i.e. STUDENTS MUST BE ENROLLED IN SCHOOL DURING THE TIME OF THIS INTERNSHIP).
