Opportunity: Four (4) openings for Spring 2013 interns in our Upper Saddle River, NJ office. RBC can offer an interactive, hands-on opportunity to learn up close and personal, the Public Relations profession. Our interns will learn:How to research clients, their relevant industries and appropriate media outlets
How to write effective media materials & pitches
How to pitch stories & ideas to the media
How to create comprehensive & accurate media lists
How to track, collect & quantify media coverage
How to optimize their Public Relations resume & cover letters

The internship positions are unpaid, but the professional and educational value is tremendous. Everyone who has participated in our program has walked away with important and applicable working knowledge of the Public Relations industry and has been able to add relevant, desirable working skills & experiences to their resume.
Each college intern will be expected to work a minimum of 10 hours, per week. Hours of availability are flexible and will be contingent upon school/class schedules. Other requirements include: · Prior Public Relations experience is a plus, but certainly NOT required. · Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is required. · A sincere desire to learn about Public Relations is a must.
