The team’s crisis experts have worked with the world’s leading companies and been involved in preparing for and responding to a broad range of crises, including social media and reputational crises, financial issues, litigation, product recalls, activist campaigns, governmental investigations and enforcement actions, environmental issues, workplace incidents, and labor relations.
Launched in 2013, Weber Shandwick’s Corporate Issues & Crisis Management Fellowship is a full-time paid program designed to develop the next generation of Weber Shandwick employees and crisis practitioners. Fellows work closely with every member of the team, and are assigned designated mentors, to guide and evaluate them through their professional experience. This 3-month program is designed to provide first-hand experience in corporate/crisis communications and exceptional participants will be offered a full-time staff position upon completion.
The ideal candidate will possess incredibly strong writing skills and familiarity with a fast-paced, deadline oriented environment. He or she will be intimately familiar with current events and news trends and comfortable providing analysis. Familiarity with social media and digital communications is a requisite, along with a strong academic record and a demonstrated interested in communications and issues management. Due to the nature of the work, the candidate must have meticulous attention to detail and able and eager to juggle multiple responsibilities.
Fellows support multiple account teams and will be expected to be a part of the team, ready and committed to responding to situations when needed.
