The Online Marketing Coordinator will write, create and coordinate communications for the University’s social media, web and mobile platforms as a member of the Marketing and Public Relations Department. Reporting to the Associate Vice President for Marketing and Public Relations, the coordinator will support the University’s Strategic Plan and branding initiatives by working to strengthen the institution’s image, expand visibility and engage target audiences including prospective students and their influencers, alumni, current students, faculty and staff, the media, state and federal decision makers, and others.
The coordinator will serve as the day-to-day University “voice” and community manager in social media, providing both proactive and responsive communications. The coordinator will integrate institutional brand strategy through social media and web communications.
Position requires Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in marketing, communications, journalism or related field and four years experience in writing and coordinating content for social media platforms including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Pinterest, Google+ and Vine. Experience in a marketing, communications, public relations, journalism or related field is required. Excellent writing skills with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively via web and social media vehicles are necessary.
