Assistant Account Executive – Health & Well-Being

As an Assistant Account Executive you’ll be given a wide range of responsibilities including media monitoring; drafting press releases, pitch letters, and client reports; conducting research for creative mailings and client programs; executing event logistics; developing media lists and coordinating media outreach efforts; conducting measurement; maintaining team systems and account financial binders. Our AAE’s keep up with current events and trends; actively participate in team meetings; and demonstrate strong initiative and good judgment.

Assistant Account Executives are encouraged to participate in the agency’s training program, MMC Masters, as well as our Mentorship program in order to further boost your professional and personal development. Training is facilitated onsite and includes courses such as Business Etiquette and Developing Presence; Managing Up; Research Methodologies for PR; Strengthening Your Pitch; Media Analysis; Writing Workshops and more. AAE’s are active members of the agency’s Junior Committee, an important forum for junior staffers to openly discuss and resolve issues and share successes. The Junior Committee assists their peers in problem solving, discusses time-saving techniques and shares tips and trends.

Qualifications:
•Strong interest in Health PR
•Minimum of 6 months internship experience up to 2 years post-graduate experience
•4 year degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English, or related field
•Excellent writing and research skills
•Social media savvy, digital capability and online presence
•Superior oral communication skills; strong analytical skills; creativity
•Leadership experience and/or affiliations in student or professional associations
•Ability to multi-task, work well on a team and work well under the pressure of deadlines
