PR/Marketing Account Executive/Senior Account Executive (B2B) – Stern + Associates (Cranford, NJ)

We’re seeking a mid- to senior-level account executive with a keen understanding of the online space from a digital PR perspective. Successful candidates will have deep experience with business media (traditional, digital, and emerging platforms), knowledge of digital PR and content syndication strategies, the ability to understand a range of industry and media landscapes, and a track record of bringing memorable, unconventional successful ideas to the table.

Key areas of responsibility:

  • Develop and implement strategic communications programming, content strategies and digital PR  across a variety of traditional and emerging platforms
  • Generate in-depth, high-value media coverage within top-tier business media outlets
  • Transform offline content into powerful and compelling content that works online and engages key  influencers and target audiences
  • Develop impactful and creative pitch ideas and participate in brainstorming sessions to foster creative ways to market clients

Requirements include:

  • 3+ years experience in PR or digital agency servicing B2B accounts with content development and marketing
  • Proven media pitching skills and results in all forms of media (broadcast, print, digital)
  • Ability to develop search engine optimized content that promotes messaging and thought leadership positioning in a compelling story-based manner
  • Deep understanding of worldly themes, news and events; and strong client relations, organizational and multi-tasking skills.
  • A highly entrepreneurial mindset
  • Strong critical thinking (analytical, creative), business acumen and verbal/written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects/deadlines with superior time/project management skills; self-motivated with commitment to detail and world-class service standards in a fast-paced environment

Business Development/Marketing Manager – Higher Education (Cambridge, MA or Cranford, NJ)

We’re searching for a dynamic professional to lead aggressive business development initiative and manage accounts in the higher education market. The business development/marketing manager will establish and service new accounts.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing a strategic business development/prospecting plan
  • Identifying and acquiring new clients through active prospecting, cold-calling, networking, qualifying and pitching leads
  • Managing all phases of new business process, serving as primary point of contact; managing timelines; developing proposals and content; participating in presentations
  • Developing insights from a sophisticated understanding of developments and trends in higher education
  • Creating/implementing client marketing material/campaigns (day-to-day account management)
  • Creating/implementing program to promote agency’s services
  • Conceiving/developing strategic partnerships and platforms

Requirements include:

  • Deep experience in and passion for higher education
  • Experience with higher education journalists/writers
  • 5-10 years in a business development/marketing role within higher education
  • A highly entrepreneurial mindset
  • Ability to quickly build credibility with an executive presence and uncover new opportunities
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with a variety of individuals and groups across business and organizational lines
  • Track record of results-oriented performance
  • Strong critical thinking (analytical, creative), business acumen and verbal/written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects/deadlines with superior time/project management skills; self-motivated with commitment to detail and world-class service standards in a fast-paced environment
  • Intellectually curious, proactive, and flexible in accommodating rapid change
