Digital Media Marketer & Community Manager – Hillside, NJ
NECA, the leader in entertainment collectibles such as action figures, jewelry, and games, is seeking a full-time digital media marketer and community manager to manage and maintain their online properties.
This position will be responsible for creating and maintaining a content calendar for several accounts as well as updating each. The community manager is also responsible for scouting and working with a team of writers/bloggers. Additionally, this position will deal directly with journalists, bloggers, and fans.
This position shares the responsibilities of an editor-in-chief with the creativity of a guerilla marketer. You’ll be asked to plan, pitch, lead and execute campaigns, so you must be able to perform under little to no supervision.
Additionally, our campaigns are aimed at extremely passionate consumers, from The Hunger Games fans to Predator action figure collectors and comic book connoisseurs, so having a “geeky” side is certainly welcome.
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
.Daily efforts to drive more traffic to company websites
.Maintain frequent activity on various forums
.Scouting writers to produce content to websites
.Proofreading, editing and uploading articles onto sites via wordpress
.Track work progress via several Analytics tools and produce monthly status report
.Research and catalog different communities for upcoming product releases
.Engage public communities relative to our products on a day to day basis
.Spearhead different marketing campaigns using social media platforms
.Strong interest in digital marketing, including SEM, SEO and Social Media
.Working knowledge of HTML
Advanced knowledge of MS Office – Word, Excel, Powerpoint
Familiarity with Photoshop
.Strong written and verbal communication skills
.Familiarity with Reddit.com, WordPress, Tumblr, Pinterest, and infographics
.Web analytical platform knowledge (Google Analytics)
.Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing and/or public relations
.2-3 years of experience in marketing (preferably digital) and/or P.R.

This is a full time position. Full medical and 401k after 3 months.
